Legal Requirements in France
Article R.4542-4 of the Labor Code: Daily screen time. The employer must organize the employee's work in such a way that their daily screen time is periodically interrupted by breaks or by changes in activity that reduce the workload involving screen use.
Article L.4121-1 of the Labor Code Every employer is required to ensure the safety and protect the physical and mental health of employees. These measures include: occupational risk prevention initiatives, information and training programs, and the implementation of appropriate organizational structures and resources.
Directive 89/391/EEC. This European directive requires employers to implement, among other things, measures to prevent psychosocial risks (chronic stress, work overload, burnout, etc.).
